EPA drop-in sessions in Curdies

 

While EPA is in town inspecting dairy farms, businesses and residents who are passionate about environmental protection are invited to meet with EPA officers.

EPA is inspecting dairy farms across the South-West Region to make sure they’re not polluting nearby waterways by checking effluent pond management, waste disposal and more.

All businesses have a responsibility to manage water pollution emissions, so far as reasonably practicable, to comply with the conditions within their operating licenses.

They also have a general environmental duty to understand their risks, implement controls and regularly review performance of those controls.
